The car is a 2-seater roadster sports car. The Mazda MX-5 was first introduced by Mazda in 1989 and is currently in it’s third generation. It has won over 150 awards since it has been introduced. It was announced as the 2005-2006 Car of the Year in Japan and the 2005 Car of the Year in Australia. This definately is one of my favorite sports cars. The Mazda MX-5 was unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show on February 10, 1989. The 2nd generation was introduced in 1999. The 3rd generation of the Mazda MX-5 was introduced in 2006.

The Mazda MX-5 is a very popular sports car. One can find adverts for persons selling their 2nd hand cars and parts in classifieds publications all around the world. By the end of 2008, more than 730,000 units have been sold worldwide. I’m sure that Mazda will bring out a new shape MX-5 in the future as this has definately been one of their most popular and successful vehicles to date.
